Cover Reveal: For Justice

I’m so excited to reveal the cover for the second book in my crime suspense series, For Justice. The cover was designed by Winyan Press, LLC illustrator, Alex Marin. I know that I had wanted the cover to have Michelle on it. That was important to me. I wanted to show her strength and fierceness, and I love what Alex did.

For those new to the series, let me tell you a little about the series and what book two will be about. THE TALIONIC FILES which is named after the principal of ‘an eye for an eye, is a crime suspense series that will follow a group of elite ATF agents in Chicago led by Valentino Masterson, as they solve crime, fall in love, and well, get mixed up in all sorts of nefarious situations.

The first book in the series, RETALIATORY JUSTICE, picked up with Valentino and his crew of specialized agents being brought in on a case in New Orleans that links to their case in Chicago. During the investigation he meets the beautiful Dominique Walker, a chef working for the people Valentino is investigating. Things become complicated when he finds himself falling for her, unfortunately, he doesn’t know what side she’s on. The second book will pick up with the aftermath of Book One. We find Michelle living alone in the Big Horn Mountains. While Valentino continues to run his squad without her, but when a hit is issued against the head of the Russian mob behind Dominique’s restaurant, he is pulled into another complicated case.

Let’s start by going into a little more detail about the characters in this new story. First of course is our two main characters, Michelle Jones and Valentino Masterson.

In the aftermath of Retaliatory Justice, Valentino and his team (Clayton – gun expert, Zach – tech expert, and Paul – explosives expert), find that things don’t go as simply as they would like. This is brought to the forefront when two unsuccessful hits are made against Dimitri Komarovski. While trying to figure out who is responsible, they find themselves in an intricate web of lies and power struggles when they must work with a group of FBI agents West Virginia. Can they all find a way to work with each other for the benefit of all those involved?

In Retaliatory Justice we meet Michelle Jones. She is a former FBI agent who goes to work with the ATF. After everything that happens with her husband she goes into hiding. In For Justice we find that she has been living in the Big Horn Mountains, living a quiet and uneventful life. That is until she finds an abandoned young girl, hiding in the bushes, while she is out hunting. As she begins an investigation on who she is and how she ended up there, she finds that things are more complicated than anticipated, and calls in help from her ex-team.

Of course we have a slew of new bad guys in this story as well. One of the things that was exciting about this story was that I was able to collaborate with Author Reese Stephens on this story which connects with her upcoming fourth book in her Oak Grove Suspense Series, entitled Redemption For those not familiar with her series. It centers around FBI Agent Ryan Jacobs and his friends, Agent Marsh, Jon, Riley, and Paul. If you get a chance you check her series out HERE.

I found myself utterly in love with these characters, which also includes a certain Russian gangster we met in Brothers Forever. I can’t wait to share them with you all. Okay, that’s it for now.
