Happy Valentine’s Day!

Valentine ’s Day is upon us. It is a time of love, be it newfound, long lasting, or in flux. How does one celebrate it? Flowers and candy are the most traditional, as well as taking your special someone on a romantic night out for dinner and a movie. Some of us, however, do not have anyone to share Valentine’s with. Don’t fret though, as long as you love yourself, that’s all you need. The way I like to spend Valentine’s Day is with a great romance. So, I decided that for today I’d like to share with you a few of my favorite romance novels written by some awesome indie authors.

Fame & Consequences - _0000_Vertical CoverFame & Consequences by Reese A. Stephens.

This is a sweet, clean & wholesome love story about an aspiring writer and well-known actor who fall in love. Sophie Parker and Elijah Stone meet by chance but can’t help but fall in love with one another. Unfortunately being a Hollywood heartthrob comes with a price, is it something they can pay? The author weaves a wonderful tale of suspense, love, and the consequences of fame. This story put me through the ringer with lots of twists and turns, that had me stressing out a bit. I was rooting for them all the way. I just felt for both of these characters and the life they wanted to have with each other. It is such a wonderful story that I’m sure you will enjoy. This is a hot and steamy love story starring Jasmine Chance and Andrew (Drew) Rodd. They are perfect for each other, even though neither of them realize it at first. Drew is handsome and rich, he can have anyone he wants, and he has set his sights on Jasmine. Jasmine is so smart and knows what she wants in life but she has experienced things no one should have to experience which makes her struggle with the feelings she is developing for him, and in turn she shows him that he is more than what he shows the world. I loved how the author was able to accurately show how trauma can impact the decisions we make. Another wonderful romance. The author just released the third book in the series and I can’t wait to read it. You can get your copy of Not by Chance HERE.

61kltM2B-aLThe Coin by Maria Elena Alonso-Sierra.

This was such a suspenseful and well-developed story. It is set in France and stars Richard Harrison as an American intelligence officer and Gabriela Martinez as an artist, who stumbles into something that just might get her killed. The characters were so full of life, the plot was suspenseful and intriguing, and the romance was honestly gut wrenching, but not in a bad way. I really felt for Gabriela and Richard and the love they had for one another. The circumstances they were in made it so difficult for the two of them. I had to immediately download the second book to see how it all played out, because I couldn’t end it there. I needed to know what happened next. You can get your copy of The Coin HERE.

I thoroughly enjoyed this ghost story. It follows Stephanie Kincaid after her parents die, and she discovers that she is adopted. This leads her to begin researching her ancestors. Along the way, she meets several amazing characters including the handsome Gage Dunbar, local firefighter, and the man who will sweep her off her feet. It slips back and forth between the present time and colonial times as we discover a past that will most definitely shape Stephanie’s future, and understanding of why certain ghostly figures are entering Stephanie’s life. I haven’t had the chance to dive into the other stories in this series because of time constraints, but plan on doing that shortly. You can get Teardrops of the Innocent HERE.

I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story. It is the story of rock star Jacob Sloan who has lost his way, lost his passion for the music that used to make him whole. He decides to take some space to find himself again. What he discovers is love and wonderment, in the Philippines with the beautiful Maeva, as well as his passion for music once again. One of the things I loved most about this story was the setting. I have never been to the Philippines but I felt as if I were there. The author did a fantastic job enriching the story with the culture of the Island while still moving the love story along. I look forward to reading other books by this author. You can get Space for Breathing HERE.

51kJVvpnXdLMiss Behave by Nicky Kaye.

This is romantic comedy at its best. It stars Lizzie Bell as an advice columnist who wishes to be more, and Ash Garrison, as an opposing advice columnists. When a merge forces Lizzie’s ‘Miss Behave’ column, and Ash’s ‘Guy’s Guy’ column to work together, the end result amounts to utter hilarity as they compete for the best advice to help those who write into the paper. While they are opposite of each other in so many ways, they find that their attraction can’t be denied. This book was a lot of fun and had me laughing, and swooning, and shaking my head. You can get your copy of Miss Behave HERE.

Okay, so those are just a few of my favorites. I tried to list ones that hit a lot of different types of genres within the romance field. There were a lot more I could have highlighted and honestly, I feel a bit guilty for not listing them. Of course, there is also my romances if you are so inclined.

Helios-Awakened (1)Helios Awakened

Book One in The Helios Chronicles tells the tale of Andrew ‘Helios’ Harrison and Madison Ellis as they fight for their happily ever after in a world set on tearing them apart. Book one introduces us to their love story, along with several secondary characters. It is steamy, and somewhat angsty. He comes from a horrible upbringing that teaches him that love is unattainable, and that he isn’t worth anything. She is a strong willed young woman who didn’t believe in love. They’re drawn to each other in a way that neither expects, but can their newfound love survive the life he led before they met? Now, that’s the real question. You can pick up your copy of Helios Awakened HERE.

Beyond the Beach - _0003_Title VerticleBeyond the Beach

This is a romantic comedy starring cocky surfer Masen Pelletier, and feisty New Yorker, Zoe MacIntosh. They meet in the Bahamas and while Zoe tries to resist him, she is no match for his charms. They set out to just have fun and when their time is done they would exit each other’s lives forever, but can they actually do that? Will they be able to let go of one another, or will they find a way to have a life beyond the beach. You’ll have to read to the story to find out. You can get your copy of Beyond the Beach HERE.

Alright, I have given you loads of new books to check out. Something for everyone. Enjoy these wonderful reads and have an amazing Valentine’s Day, be it with the love of your life, or with the love you have within. Catch ya’ll later!
