I’m so excited to reveal the cover for my next adult romance, Beyond the Beach. The cover was designed by Winyan Press illustrator, Alex Marin. He did another amazing job conveying the feel of the book with cocky surfer Masen Pelletier, front and center.

Let me tell you a little about the story and how it came to be. Several years ago a friend of mine, Shan Ellis, messaged me and said she had this idea for a story and wanted me to write it. She said that she had seen a picture and that it made her think of a possible story involving a very confident surfer. That was it. That’s what she gave me. She had no specific plot, or anything laid out, just a vision of what he should look like. So we talked about it and I slept on it, seeing if a story would form, and sure enough it did. I told her what my idea was and wondered if that would be okay with her. Needless to say, she loved the idea.

The story takes place in Eleuthera, Bahamas, and centers around surfer Masen Pelletier, who is a bit of a player. His strategy for when he travels, is that he always works for a week and then plays for a week, picking one girl to spend his time with. This strategy has worked well for him, that is until he meets Zoe. He had decided the moment he saw her that she would be the one, but was not expecting to actually work for it. Is he able to change, and be more than what he’s always been, or will he end up swimming alone?

Zoe Macintosh is a no-nonsense New Yorker who comes to the islands with her best friend Summer, who is on a mission of her own. Zoe is not a ‘fling’ kind of gal, so what will happen when she meets Masen and he proposes just that. Will she fall for his confident and charming persona and give herself up to chance? And, if she does, will she be able to say goodbye when its over?

This story is so near and dear to me. I love the setting and these characters, and hope you do as well. I love where this story went and enjoyed doing a more romantic storyline without the angst that I’m usually known for. So, are you ready to go Beyond the Beach with me?
