I’m so excited to reveal the cover for my new release, Retaliatory Justice, Book One in the The Talionic Files. The cover was designed by Winyan Press Illustrator, Alex Marin. Covers are super important to me. They need to grab the readers eye and make them curious about the book. When they see it, I want them to say, “Huh, wonder what this is about?” Alex hit it out of the ballpark with this one. I think the cover portrays the suspense element wonderfully, and will make people check out the back cover for more details about the story. Thank you, Alex. I love it!

Let me tell you a little about the series and what book one will be about. THE TALIONIC FILES which is named after the principal of ‘an eye for an eye, is a crime suspense series that will follow a group of elite ATF agents in Chicago led by Valentino Masterson, as they solve crime, fall in love, and well, get mixed up in all sorts of nefarious situations.

The first book in the series, RETALIATORY JUSTICE, will pick up with Valentino and his crew of specialized agents being brought in on a case in New Orleans that links to their case in Chicago. During the investigation he meets the beautiful Dominique Walker, a chef working for the people Valentino is investigating. Things become when he finds himself falling for her, unfortunately, he doesn’t quite know what side she’s on. In a story where it becomes increasingly difficult to tell the bad guys from the good ones, you will be on the edge of your seat until the very final moment.

Let me tell you a little about Valentino Masterson. Valentino’s life is turned upside down when his family is murdered by the ruthless Sicignano Family. He will do anything to track them down and make them pay. When he is asked to lead the team assigned with finding a link between the Sicignano crime family and guns coming in from New Orleans, he sees this as his opportunity to finally take down the family that ruined his life, but will his quest for vengeance cost him more than he bargained for? Will he be able to turn off his need for justice at any cost and if he can’t, will it prevent him from accepting peace and love when it’s offered?

Now lets learn a little about Dominique Walker. She moved from Mississippi to New Orleans right after high school, with the sole purpose of becoming a renowned chef. When an opportunity to become an executive chef at the soon to be opened, Le Creole restaurant, comes along, she accepts it immediately, seeing this as a great opportunity in her career. Unfortunately, once she starts she realizes that things aren’t as they seem and she soon finds herself embroiled in an intricate web of deceit and lawlessness. Will she be able to put her ambitions aside long enough to see the danger she is in, and more importantly, can she find it in herself to trust Valentino with her heart as well as her life?

I found myself utterly in love with these characters, which also includes a certain Russian gangster we met in Brothers Forever. I can’t wait to share them with you all. I’m not sure how many books will be in the series, but I have at least three planned ideas right now. In fact, Book Two is being mapped out as we speak. Okay, that’s it for now.
