I am the mother of seven children (five of which I raised) and the proud grandmother of six grandsons and six granddaughters. I have a beautiful Australian Shepherd named Bella and two ornery cats, Edward and Lil Bit. I am an avid book worm and cinephile, the less known author, musician or film, the better. I have just recently began attending film festivals so that I can get my love of indie films fulfilled. I am pretty low maintenance and will tell it like it is. If you have a question for me please feel free to ask. My day job is that of a psychologist which I love doing but my dream is to write professionally. Although I have written in the academic field, both in journals and a published book, I would like to write fiction. I got my feet wet in the fan fiction world, yes, that's right, fan fiction which I can proudly say allowed me to find my creative side once again. I will likely publish a couple of my previously posted fan fiction stories but they will be toned down considerably. My style will be mostly psychological suspense with a hint of the supernatural but I will also write some young adult novels (my daughter wants to write with me, how can I say no to that?) and a few adult romance novels. That should keep me busy for awhile.
I am so excited to reveal the amazing cover for Book Three in The Helios Chronicles, entitled Helios Renewed. The cover was designed by Winyan Press illustrator Alex Marin who did another amazing job. Covers are so important to me, especially in this series as they reflect what’s happening to our couple. I was torn at … More Cover Reveal: Helios Renewed
My first entry in the Thrill of the Hunt Anthology, appeared in 2015. It was a story called Shattered Glass and was something I had thought about for a long time. It told the tale of a school teacher who feels like she is going a tad crazy, seeing something that others don’t see. I … More Cover Reveal: When Death Calls
Every year, I look forward to pow wow season. It’s a time for fellowship and reconnecting with others, some of which we haven’t see in a year. … More Welcome to Pow Wow Season
Thanks to some lobbying by my dear friend, Angie Thunker, mine and Deanna’s novel, THIRTY EIGHT, was chosen as the school wide read for the Standing Rock Middle School. They started reading the story three weeks ago and on May 18, 2017 Deanna and I were asked to come and speak about it. We would be meeting … More Thirty Eight Presentation
Winyan Press asks each of its authors prior to the release of their newest books to either do a video interview or a blog post. Yeah, me and videos is not gonna happen… LOL, so I elected to do a blog posts. Right now, I am planning the release of Brothers Forever which is a … More Brothers Forever Interview
Brothers Forever is a story I worked on long ago. It’s based on a secondary character in another story that I published online a while back. This particular character, however, I absolutely fell in love with. He’s so, for lack of a better word, bad ass. The story centers around a man named Charles Livingston. He … More Cover Reveal: Brothers Forever
